New York Fashion Week:
Alice + Olivia Fall/Winter 2014/2015

Rahmen

I’m still speechless when thinking about the Alice‘s & Olivia’s presentation from last Monday at the The McKittrick hotel. In all years I haven’t seen such a thoroughly thought through presentation. Designerin Stacey Bendet created with love to detail an enchanted forest for her collection “Enchanted: A Midwinter Night’s Dream”. There we met all kind of figures that are fascinating us even not being a little girl anymore. Snow White was laid in a glass coffin and Rapunzel let down her hair. Staging matched the collection which is very much in love to details and entails aplenty of modern princess dresses, too. Next winter, brocade is meeting on laces and velvet as well as on knitwear and aplenty of applications combined with very feminine cuts. Metallic shades and royal blue and green as well as glamorous red are awaiting us. Glamazon robes that are wearable anyhow. Designer Stacy Bendet got the point when stating:” This season is all about sex-appeal and phantasy – it’s about luxury and decadence in a wearable way”. My favorites: A blue shiny brocade coat; a black lace dress with white and red diamonds; a high waist skirt with golden brocade flowers; a black and white striped knit coat and and and…. Now, pictures that speak volume…
